Arsenal legend Paul Merson says Unai Emery should have signed Everton midfielder Fabian Delph

Arsenal legend Paul Merson believes Unai Emery should have signed Fabian Delph during the summer transfer window.
Delph joined Everton for a bargain £8million over the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City.
The 29-year-old won two Premier League titles with City and has 20 England caps to his name.
Former England ace Merson, who played for Arsenal between 1985 and 1997, thinks Delph is better than Gunners midfielders Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira.
He told : “I look at him and wonder why Arsenal didn't sign him.
"He is better than the midfield three that played against Tottenham.

"He could have played at left-back instead of [Sead] Kolasinac on Sunday.
"I am a big fan of Delph. He can play in certain positions and is an excellent signing for Everton.”
A groin injury delayed Delph’s Premier League debut for Everton until Sunday’s 3-2 win over Wolves.
He played the full 90 minutes and impressed alongside Andre Gomes.
Nonetheless, Marco Silva insists Delph will continue to improve as he works his way back to full fitness..

“He showed a very good performance and Fabian is not in his best physical condition yet," said Silva.
"He will improve more. I was concerned a little bit if he could play the 90 minutes this afternoon because he played 70-75 on Wednesday [against Lincoln].
"He was really good on the pitch. If not, I would take him out before the end. His quality, no doubts about that. He showed that and it's really important.”
