Championship results: Swansea miss out on chance to go top as they draw with Bristol City, Queens Park Rangers make it four wins in a row

Swansea City missed out on a chance to top of the Championship as they failed to capitalise on Leeds United's draw with Derby County earlier on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa's side were held 1-1 by Derby in the 12.30pm kick-off but Swansea could only get a point from their clash at Bristol City.

There is little to separate the two sides at the top of the table with just goal difference giving Leeds the edge after eight games.

There is also just two points now separating the top six sides as we look set for yet another tight Championship season.

Queens Park Rangers made it four wins in a row as Nahki Wells scored twice at The Den.

Wells had put them infront 11 minutes into the second half before Shaun Hutchinson equalised for Millwall after 71 minutes.

The QPR striker got the winner two minutes later as they went fourth in the table.

Wigan picked up just their second win of the season as Cheyenne Dunkley scored twice in their 2-0 win over the in-form Charlton Athletic.

In that early kick-off, Derby made Leeds pay for their lack of composure as Chris Martin’s stoppage-time strike saw both sides play out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

A first-half own goal by Max Lowe appeared to be enough to give Leeds the victory but Martin poked the ball home in what was Derby’s first shot in the entire match.
