Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer calls Harry Kane one of the best strikers when quizzed on Roy Keane comments
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to former Manchester United team-mate Roy Keane's calls for the club to sign Harry Kane.
Scoring goals has been slightly hard to come by for United this season, having found the net just ten times in their opening nine Premier League matches.
Their only recognised senior strikers are Anthony Martial, 23, and Marcus Rashford, 21.
Rashford got on the scoresheet during his side's draw to Liverpool at the weekend but Keane believes United are still lacking up top and urged Solskjaer and the club's hierarchy to 'go and get Kane.'
On Keane's demands, Solskjaer said: "Roy’s quite straightforward, isn’t he?
"For us it’s [about] working hard, getting Anthony back is gonna be a massive boost for us and I’m sure when 'A' comes back that’ll help Marcus as well.
"With the forwards we’ve got and the pace, I’m looking forward to the next few weeks.
"There aren’t many, Lewandowskis and Harry Kanes, they’re like Shearer, Van Nistelrooy, fantastic players.
"Ours are different types of players but I like someone who can finish half a chance and he does that."
Solskjaer was speaking to the media ahead of United's Europa League match at Partizan Belgrade on Thursday.
The Red Devils are nearing to a fully-fit squad but one player who will not feature is Paul Pogba and Solskjaer revealed the midfielder is unlikely to play in their Premier League match at Norwich on Sunday.

Going into the match in Serbia, there are concerns about the reception the United players will receive with Partizan Belgrade recently completing a two-game stadium sanction for racist behaviour.
But the Norwegian says his players are prepared for every eventuality.
He added: "In the aftermath of what happened in Bulgaria [for England's Euro 2020 qualifier] we had a meeting with the boys and we have gone through the protocol I believe in the good of people and the atmosphere will be fantastic.
"We trust UEFA and hopefully it will be a celebration of good football.
"We have spoken in general on the subject (racism) but of course Harry [Maguire] and Marcus who were in Bulgaria they said what to expect in worse case."
United's opponents are actually top of the group and a former Red Devil plays for Partizan in Zoran Tosic, who was at Old Trafford between 2009-10, making just two senior appearances.
On Partizan, Solskjaer said: "Of course I’ve watched many games in the lead up here, I also watched them live when they played Molde, which is my old team.
"[It] was a game that I was following very close, I spoke to the coach in Molde.
"Zoran I had in the reserves at Manchester United many times, fantastic boy, great left foot, great work-ethic, it will be nice to meet him but hopefully we stop his left foot. It’s of the best quality.
