There are likely to be some changes from Chelsea for this Carabao Cup match.

Willy Caballero played in the previous round’s 7-1 victory over Grimsby and should keep his place at Stamford Bridge.

There is also likely to be some rotation in the defence with Reece James, Emerson and Marc Guehi set to come in with only Kurt Zouma retained from the Burnley win.

Lampard has injuries to contend with in midfield with N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley struggling so there will not be too much change.

Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho could be partnered with teenager Billy Gilmour who impressed in the win over Grimsby.

Callum Hudson-Odoi can expect to start on the left with Pedro on the right while Michy Batshuayi may get the nod through the middle ahead of Olivier Giroud following his winner against Ajax in the Champions League.

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been giving chances to the Manchester United youngsters this season and we could see plenty on show at Stamford Bridge.

There are also several injury problems that mean some of the squad players will feature, especially with a potentially tricky trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Paul Pogba, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly and Diogo Dalot are all out of the match through injury while Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw are working their way back to full fitness and unlikely to start.

Teenager Brandon Williams will continue to get his chance at left-back with the rest of the back four comprising of Marcos Rojo, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The options in midfield are slim with Pogba and Matic carrying injuries so Solskjaer is unlikely to deviate from Fred and Scott McTominay.

Jesse Lingard came off the bench against Norwich on Sunday and he could make a start against Chelsea while Juan Mata and youngster Tahith Chong could complete an attacking midfield trio.

Mason Greenwood, 18, has impressed early in the season and this would be a good opportunity for him to lead the line while giving Marcus Rashford a rest.
