Mesut Ozil: Arsenal outcast STARTS for the Gunners in the Premier League for the first time in seven weeks

Mesut Ozil has been named in Arsenal's starting XI to face Wolves - live on talkSPORT 2 - in the Premier League on Saturday.

The midfielder has not featured in the top-flight for the last seven weeks, with his last appearance coming in the 2-2 draw against Watford on September 15.

His prolonged absence has left many confused, especially in light of his exceptional performance during the Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday.

That display appears to have regained him favour with Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who has left Ozil out of seven matchday squads in the league this season.

Meanwhile, club-record signing Nicolas Pepe drops to the bench following a string of disappointing performances.

Granit Xhaka remains out for Arsenal following his clash with the Emirates faithful last Sunday.

The Gunners skipper used Saturday's programme notes to reiterate his explanation regarding last Sunday’s clash with the Emirates faithful.
