Chelsea transfer report: Atletico Madrid remain keen in signing Juan Cuadrado despite Blues’ u-turn

Atletico Madrid have not given up hope of signing Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado.

talkSPORT told you last week that incoming boss Antonio Conte wanted to keep the Colombian at Stamford Bridge when he returns from his loan spell at Juventus.

Originally it had been planned that Cuadrado would make his stay in Turin permanent, but Conte has told Chelsea to make a u-turn.

The news is a blow for Atletico as the Spanish club had been scouting the winger and wanted to sign him this summer.

Chelsea have informed Diego Simeone's side that a deal is unlikely but, according to Calciomercato, they have not given up hope.

Atletico believe that a transfer can still take place if they make an offer that is just too good to refuse.
