Six players Manchester United could sign on loan in January, including Real Madrid and Barcelona stars
Manchester United could dip into the loan market in January as they look to cope with the absence of Marcus Rashford.
The striker injured his back in their FA Cup win over Wolves last week and is set to be on the sidelines for around six weeks.
“Marcus is going to be out for a while. He suffered a stress fracture against Wolverhampton [Wanderers],” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told talkSPORT.
“I don’t know how long he’ll be out for, but it’s normally six weeks before you can get going again and then he’ll need time to get match fit again.
“We’ve just got to deal with it for a while. He’s been absolutely fantastic all season. We had a similar situation with Anthony [Martial] out for eight weeks.”

Asked if the injury will affect the club’s transfer plans this month, he added: “The permanent signings we’re looking at, those targets are not going to change because we’ve got two or three players injured for the next few months.
“We could look at some short-term deals that will take us up to the summer. But that might not be the case.”
Scott McTominay is also a long-term absentee with a knee injury while Paul Pogba continues to struggle with a foot problem that recently required surgery.
United are already short of attacking options following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan.
With two key midfielders also out, they could look to strengthen that position as well as adding another attacker.

Olivier Giroud

The 22-year-old made a big money move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid over the summer worth £62million.
Things haven’t gone to plan, though, as he has scored just once in seven appearances.

Barcelona seem more keen on getting rid of Rakitic than the player does himself with reports suggesting they are consider a swap deal with Juventus involving Federico Bernardeschi.
The midfielder insists he is happy with the LaLiga club but a loan move to United could suit both clubs in the short term.
He was handed a start in new manager Quique Setien's first game though so may now be unavailable.
Arturo Vidal
Another Barcelona midfielder who has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Frenkie de Jong is Vidal.
New manager Setien wants to keep him in his plans but Vidal’s relationship at the Catalan club has soured.
He reportedly sued the club over unpaid bonuses and a move away could still happen. Inter Milan are thought to be his favoured destination but United could also be an ideal landing spot.
