Liverpool have been urged to make a move to sign £120million-rated Jadon Sancho, amid reports in Germany that he WILL leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

With the Reds already European and world champions, and on course to lift the Premier League title this season, talkSPORT host Jason Cundy says the Reds should be looking to bring ‘the very best’ players to Anfield.

And he believes the in-demand winger is exactly ‘the sort of signing they NEED to be making’.

Sancho has set German football alight this season with 15 goals and 17 assists, and his red-hot form has seen him linked with moves to Europe’s elite clubs.

The 19-year-old’s contract runs until 2022, but claim he will definitely be leaving the Westfalenstadion this summer and Manchester United are among the frontrunners for his signature.

Chelsea have also been linked with an interest in the London-born star and boyhood Blues fan, but claim Frank Lampard is instead in advanced talks with Ajax forward Hakim Ziyech over a transfer worth just £38m.

And ex-Chelsea defender Cundy believes, if the Blues aren’t going to pursue him, Sancho would be the perfect statement signing for Liverpool to help mark their return to the top of the English game.

“If you were in charge of Liverpool you would say, ‘we are on top of that tree now, let’s go and get the very best’," said Cundy on The Sports Bar.

“This kid is going to be up there for the next decade, that’s the sort of signing that keeps Liverpool right where they are.

Jadon Sancho ‘one of the most exciting talents in Europe and worth €140million’ , says German football expert Kevin Hatchard

“There’s talk that Chelsea are in for him, but right now if there’s one position that Chelsea are really strong in, it’s the wide areas.

“Willian’s contract is coming to an end and that doesn’t look like it’s going to be resolved, so it looks like he’s going to be allowed to leave.

“Pedro is another one who probably won’t be there next season, which also opens up a space, so I certainly understand why Chelsea would be interested in Sancho.

“But if you want to really put a marker down and say, ‘we’re here for the next five or six years’, that’s the sort of signing Liverpool need to be looking at.”
