Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola talks up prospect of summer exit from Manchester United if they miss out on Champions League spot

Paul Pogba's agent has once again hinted the France midfielder could leave Manchester United this summer.

The enigmatic playmaker continues to be linked with an exit from Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men looking unlikely to finish in the top four again this season.

United currently sit ninth, six points off fourth-placed Chelsea, and Raiola says a second consecutive season out of the Champions League could force Pogba to seek a move away.

He told Italian media: "He never lost his smile, but clearly a great player doesn't go to Manchester United only to not challenge for the Champions League or the Premier League title.

"It would be bull for me not to admit Paul wants to stay at the highest level.

"But Pogba will first and foremost try to give his best and then we'll see at the end of the season if he ought to remain or not."

Raiola recently revealed that he's also in discussions with Pogba's former club Juventus - among other sides - about the midfielder.

He added: "I talk to Juventus and their vice-chairman Pavel Nedved about many things, including about Pogba and other players, as is only right for a big club.

"You need to get information, see what's happening, put down a few hypotheses, dream a little."

Manchester United chiefs were reportedly 'angered' with those remarks, insisting the super-agent is 'again stirring transfer talk'.

Pogba has endured an injury-hit campaign, making just eight times in all competitions for the Red Devils.
