Stunning Ollie Watkins goal sparks Brentford comeback vs Blackburn in Championship promotion race

A stunning Ollie Watkins goal sparked a Brentford comeback to rescue a 2-2 draw against Blackburn.
An Adam Armstrong brace put Rovers 2-0 up inside 54 minutes.
But Brentford responded eight minutes later with a superb half-volley from Watkins, who bagged his 21st goal of the season.
And the comeback was complete when Said Benrahma converted from the penalty spot on 71 minutes after Mads Roerslev was brought down by Amari’i Bell.
Armstrong opened the scoring for Blackburn after a kick from Rovers goalkeeper Christian Walton was not dealt with by Ethan Pinnock, which allowed the former Newcastle striker to take a touch and lob David Raya on 11 minutes.
Benrahma and Emiliano Marcondes spurned opportunities to draw Brentford level as Blackburn led 1-0 at half-time.
And it got even better for Tony Mowbray's men when former Rovers goalkeeper Raya bundled over John Buckley in the box as referee Tim Robinson pointed to the spot.
Armstrong stepped up to double his side's lead.
Watkins halved the deficit with his brilliant 20-yard strike after latching on to a hopeful Henrik Dalsgaard pass.
Benrahma's successful penalty brought Brentford level, before both goalkeepers made crucial saves to preserve a point for their respective teams.
Firstly, Raya denied Armstrong a hat-trick when he denied him from close-range in the 75th minute.
And with just one minute remaining, Walton made a double save to stop Benrahma and Halil Dervisoglu.
