Championship results: West Brom slip up against Wigan, Fulham close the gap, Huddersfield thrash Charlton as relegation battle hots up

The battle at the bottom of the Championship intensified on Saturday with several clubs near the foot of the table picking up vital wins.
There were victories for Huddersfield and Reading to move themselves away from the drop zone but the biggest surprise of the afternoon came at the Hawthorns.
League leaders West Brom were beaten 1-0 by strugglers Wigan who climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to those three points.
Sam Morsy scored the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute when he fired in to the top corner.
The result sees the Baggies' lead at the top of the table to just one point as Leeds thrashed Hull 4-0 earlier in the afternoon.
Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts (2) netted for Marcelo Bielsa's side at the KCOM Stadium to pick up their fourth straight victory and continue their march to the Premier League.
Charlton slipped perilously towards to bottom three with a 4-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Huddersfield.
Former player Karlan Grant came back to haunt his old club with a goal in the 25th minute and the points were then wrapped up by Steve Mounie 15 minutes from the end.
Grant then added a third late on to pile on the misery for Lee Bowyer's side with Juninho Bacuna adding a fourth.
Fulham managed to close the gap on the top two with a 2-0 win over Preston.
David Nugent put the ball into his own net before Aboubakar Kamara added a second in the 95th minute.
