Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United – Who are the best home performers in Premier League history?

If you want to succeed in football then you have to win your home games for starters.

In the Premier League, Liverpool's home form has set a solid foundation towards them establishing a huge lead at the top of the table, having won all 15 of their matches at Anfield this season.

10. Everton

Win rate: 47 per cent (Average points per game: 1.68)

As one of the six sides to have played in every Premier League season, it's no surprise that Everton have made it into the top ten.

They mainly have David Moyes to thank for that, who was in charge of the Toffees from 2002-2013.

9. Blackburn

Win rate: 49 per cent (Average points per game: 1.7)

The 1994/95 champions also make it into the top ten, however, they haven't played in the Premier League since their relegation in 2012.

8. Newcastle

Win rate: 50 per cent (Average points per game: 1.75)

The Magpies were on of the top Premier League sides in the 90s but have somewhat fallen away, particularly under unpopular owner Mike Ashley.

However, they have a great opportunity to improve on their St James' Park record should the takeover, headed by a consortium which is backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, go ahead.

7. Leeds

Win rate: 50 per cent (Average points per game: 1.77)

Just in front of Newcastle is Leeds, who haven't played in the top flight for over 15 years.

In seven of their twelve seasons in the Premier League, the Whites finished in fifth place or higher, before their rapid decline between 2002 and 2004.

6. Tottenham

Win rate: 53 per cent (Average points per game: 1.84)

In sixth, we have Tottenham who boast a solid home record, however, they are a long way off north London rivals Arsenal's win rate.

They moved into a new home, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a year ago and have won eleven of their 19 Premier League fixtures, which is a win average of around 58 per cent.

5. Manchester City

Win rate: 56 per cent (Average points per game: 1.9)

In recent years, this would have been a lot higher but Man City's success is relatively new so they're only fifth in the all-time Premier League home table.

But it shows how good they are now when you remember that they've been relegated from the top flight twice since the 1992/93 season.

4. Chelsea

Win rate: 62 per cent (Average points per game: 2.11)

The post-Roman Abramovich years have undoubtedly helped Chelsea make the top four of this table.

It should also be noted that Chelsea, along with Premier League mainstays Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool, have played exactly 534 Premier League home games apiece.

3. Liverpool

Win rate: 63 per cent (Average points per game: 2.12)

The highest ranked side yet to win a Premier League title, Liverpool have a solid 63 per cent win rate at Anfield.

Could they be the first team to win all of their home matches in a single season?

2. Arsenal

Win rate: 64 per cent (Average points per game: 2.16)

It's been a while since the glory days under Arsene Wenger but Arsenal are still second in the all-time Premier League home table.

Like Spurs, they've changed their home grounds in the Premier League having left Highbury to move into the Emirates Stadium in 2006.

1. Manchester United

Win rate: 73 per cent (Average points per game: 2.33

Unsurprisingly, it's the Premier League's most successful team in Man United who top the table.

The club has somewhat lost its way since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in 2013 but they still boast the best home record by some distance.
