Newcastle ‘set their sights’ on Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir but player is determined to stay in LaLiga

Newcastle have reportedly set their sights on Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir but the player is determined on staying with the LaLiga club.
The 26-year-old joined Betis last summer in a shock £17.7million move from Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Fekir had been linked with a move to Liverpool just 12 months before that but the deal collapsed for medical reasons.
The midfielder has enjoyed a good season in LaLiga with seven goals and three assists in 22 appearances.
He also helped France win the World Cup in 2018 after starring for Lyon in Ligue 1.
claim Newcastle are targeting Fekir with several other clubs also said to be interested.
The report says the player has no interest in leaving, though, and he has told the club he intends to stay for another year despite many clubs chasing him.
The rumour mill for Newcastle keeps churning with a Saudi group thought to be close to completing a £300million takeover of the club.
Mauricio Pochettino has been linked to the Magpies as a replacement for Steve Bruce while players like Edinson Cavani and Arturo Vidal have been touted as possible signings.
