Transfer news: Lazio and Sampdoria ready to offer former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner a career lifeline

Lazio and Sampdoria are considering a move for former Arsenal flop Nicklas Bendtner.

The striker left Wolfsburg earlier this month after both he and the club agreed to mutually terminate his contract, which was due to expire in June 2017.

The Denmark international is now on the lookout for a move and his agent has begun talking to interested parties.

Lazio and Sampdoria, according to Calciomercato, are both particularly keen and the pair are considering offering Bendtner a contract.

The fact that the 28-year-old is available on a free has reportedly enticed the Italian duo into taking a punt on the former Arsenal man.

Both Lazio and Sampdoria are in no rush to offer Bendtner a contract, though, and will decide at the end of the season whether to make a formal approach.
