Aaron Ramsey put up for sale by Juventus with aim of raising cash to fund Paul Pogba transfer from Manchester United, talkSPORT told

Aaron Ramsey could be sold by Juventus so the Italians can fund the re-signing of Manchester United star Paul Pogba, talkSPORT has been told.
Reports emerged on Friday saying that Ramsey had been put up for sale by the Serie A club just one year after he arrived in Turin on a free transfer after his Arsenal contract expired.
The Wales international was reportedly given a £400,000-a-week contract when he joined and reports claim the financial fallout of coronavirus means Juve may have to get that salary off their books if possible.
However, Italian football journalist Nima Tavallaey told talkSPORT that Ramsey could in fact be sold just so Juventus can raise capital to bring back Pogba from Manchester United.
“This is the kind of deal Juventus make," said Tavallaey on Saturday's Weekend Sports Breakfast. "They’ve done this kind of thing before, especially when they had Beppe Marotta, the former sporting director who is now over at Inter.
“He likes to sign up players on a free transfer and make capital gains. They’ve done it with Emre Can, and now they’ve done it with Aaron Ramsey.
“They signed him on a free transfer; they got [Adrien] Rabiot on a free transfer as well.
“These are good players and if they don’t end up working out they can use them as part of deals to sign other players and they can cash in on them, which balances the books as they wouldn’t have paid any transfer fees for them.
“I understand why they got Aaron Ramsey; he is the type of midfield player they need and for Maurizio Sarri, the coach there, to play that kind of football.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if they used Rabiot and Ramsey to either raise funds to bring Paul Pogba back or use them directly in negotiations with United to bring him back.
“Let’s not beat around the bush - that’s the main target Juventus have this summer.”
Pogba returned to United from Juventus in 2016 in an £89million deal but has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford over the last year.
Both Real Madrid and Juve are understood to be keen on the France World Cup winner, who scored 34 goals in 178 appearances for the Serie A champions during his first four-year spell in Turin.
