It’s nearly time for the long-awaited resumption of the Premier League. And with that, it’s also time for the talkSPORT Selector game to kick-off!
Simply predict which team will win fixtures week-to-week. The twist is: you can only pick each team once.
And if you’re the ultimate survivor, you could walk off with your share of £10,000 or more! Hopefully a good few week’s entertainment – all for just a tenner!
But predicting the winner of a fixture in the ultra-competitive Premier League is no easy task.
That’s why we’ve put some science behind it and are bringing you our new forecasting tool, ‘The Predictor’.
In short, we’ve:
- selected the five factors we think most influence a football match;
- put a score against each factor for the teams involved, and;
- added the scores together to give a total indicating the likely outcome.
Here’s an example from what will be the Premier League’s first game back on June 17, with an explanation of each factor:

Result criteria
- If there is less than a point between the teams’ total scores, that is counted as a draw
- Great than 1 point is a win for the team with the greater total
