Heroic former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has hailed Jurgen Klopp for leading the Reds to two cup finals in his first season in charge.

Liverpool mustered another stunning European comeback on Thursday night, as they came back from 1-0 down in the first leg to see off semi-final opponents Villarreal with a 3-0 win at Anfield.

The Reds will face defending champions Sevilla in the final in Basel on May 18, where they have the chance to seal their first European trophy since their famous Champions League triumph in 2005.

And Istanbul hero Dudek believes having the ‘passionate and enthusiastic’ boss in charge is a big advantage for Liverpool.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the former Poland international said: “It’s unbelievable what Jurgen Klopp is doing.

“When you see what he does after the game, how he celebrates with the players, thanks the supporters and thanks everyone, he creates a lot of energy inside the stadium.

“It’s a big advantage for us to have such an enthusiastic and passionate manager at the club.

“It was another magical night at Anfield thanks to the supporters. They created a fantastic atmosphere.

“Liverpool deserve to get to the final. When you beat Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, you fully deserve your place.”
