Dean Henderson ‘gives Manchester United ultimatum’ ahead of Old Trafford return amid David de Gea’s shaky form

Dean Henderson has reportedly demanded to be Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper if he stays at the club next season.
The 23-year-old has impressed in his two seasons on loan at Sheffield United, while United No.1 David de Gea has struggled for form recently.
Only Ederson (17), Nick Pope and Alisson (both 15) kept more Premier League clean sheets than Henderson (13) last term.
De Gea is facing criticism for his inconsistent performances and has committed SEVEN errors leading to league goals since the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
It has resulted in calls for Henderson to replace De Gea as United's No.1, who only signed a new long-term deal last year.
claim Henderson has given Old Trafford chiefs an ultimatum - ‘make me No.1 or let me go’.
De Gea’s most recent shaky display came in United’s disappointing 3-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
The Spaniard could have arguably done better for all three goals, including Mason Mount’s strike, which he failed to push wide.
Last month, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted Henderson would become the club’s No.1 some day.
He said: “Dean has made some great choices over the years and has developed fantastically.
“We’re looking at that in terms of where he’s going to be next season, but as yet that has not been decided.
“This season has proved a great experience for him, he’s done himself some favours with his performances and proved he will be England’s No.1 and Man United’s No.1 at some point.”
