Leeds United target Rodrigo de Paul confirms he WANTS Elland Road transfer – but is waiting for Udinese to complete deal with Premier League side

Rodrigo de Paul has dropped a huge hint he wants to leave Udinese and move to the Premier League with Leeds United.
The central midfielder, who has 17 Argentina caps, is also wanted by Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg as talks about his future continue.
The Serie A side have been in talks with Leeds for weeks about a potential €40million move (£37m) for the 26-year-old.
Yet Zenit’s interest is concrete enough for De Paul to now speak out and confirm Leeds is his preferred destination.
Leeds fanzine ‘The Square Ball’ revealed on Twitter the 26-year-old wants to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side, but is waiting on Udinese to accept a bid.
De Paul simply replied: "Yes" and added a fingers-crossed emoji before swiftly deleting the tweet.
The midfielder, who has 25 goals from 146 appearances for Udinese, would be Leeds’ sixth summer signing of a busy transfer window following their return to the Premier League.
The Yorkshire side smashed their club transfer record to sign Rodrigo from Valencia, also bringing in Robin Koch and former Arsenal striker Sam Greenwood.
Helder Costa and Illan Meslier made their loan moves permanent after impressing in an interim capacity last season, while Jack Harrison also extended his loan spell at the club as he moves into his third year at Elland Road.
Last season’s Championship winners gave a thoroughly good account of themselves at the home of Premier League champions Liverpool, only succumbing to a late Mohamed Salah penalty in a 4-3 win.
