‘West Ham will be relegated this season’, says Jamie O’Hara as talkSPORT pundit reacts to David Sullivan interview

Jamie O’Hara believes West Ham are in for a miserable season and will be RELEGATED from the Premier League this term.

The talkSPORT pundit reacted to our exclusive interview with Hammers co-owner David Sullivan on Wednesday, and said it didn’t fill him with confidence that the Hammers would avoid the drop.

Sullivan joined the White and Jordan show this week to talk transfers, but it wasn’t an overwhelmingly positive chat with the club owner.

He admitted West Ham are struggling to make signings and ‘as each day passes without signings, I get more depressed’.

It wasn’t exactly the optimistic chat Hammers fans would have wanted to hear after beginning the 2020/21 campaign with back-to-back defeats, and with a tough run of fixtures to come against Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool.

O’Hara lost a bet with Alan Brazil last season as he backed West Ham to be relegated. The wager? A bottle of champagne, of course.

The Hammers ended up surviving, but only just as they finished five points above the drop zone.

But O’Hara doesn’t believe David Moyes’ side will perform this miracle two years in a row.

“I think West Have will go down,” he said on the talkSPORT Breakfast, to the surprise of Alan Brazil and birthday boy Ally McCoist.

“I do, I think West Ham are going down this season.

“I mean, their upcoming fixtures are horrendous and I wasn’t very optimistic after Sullivan’s chat on talkSPORT yesterday.

“It wasn’t the best; it wasn’t great reading and it didn’t fill you with confidence.

“If you were a West Ham fan, you wouldn’t be waking up this morning thinking ‘yeah, get in there, we’re going for it!’”
