Harry Redknapp urges David Sullivan and David Gold to sell West Ham after Hammers fail to sign a single player on transfer deadline day

Harry Redknapp has urged David Sullivan and David Gold to sell West Ham United and let ‘someone with massive money’ take over at the club.
The Hammers narrowly avoided relegation last term and were led to safety by David Moyes in his second stint in east London.
Despite declaring he wanted to build a young and hungry squad, the Scot was forced to watch on as promising academy prospect Grady Diangana was sold to West Bromwich Albion.
Sullivan told talkSPORT the funds from Diangana’s departure would be reinvested in the club and defensive reinforcements would be firmly on his radar.
However, one month on from that statement, Vladimir Coufal’s £6m arrival from Slavia Prague is the only new face at the London Stadium. Bids for James Tarkowski, Jonathan Tah and Nikola Milenkovic all fell through.
Jack Wilshere and Josh Cullen have already left Stratford, with Felipe Anderson set to fellow, while Chelsea defender Fiyako Tomori rejected a move to the club TEN MINUTES before the transfer deadline.
And after the mood amongst the fan base shifted after two positive results against Wolves and Leicester, Redknapp believes the supporters deserve more than what would be the club’s fourth relegation battle in five seasons since leaving Upton Park in 2016.
“West Ham fans want to finish higher than that,” Redknapp told .
“They’ve got 60,000 people every week there now because that ground is full.
“What West Ham need in the long term and, no disrespect to David Sullivan and David Gold who have come in, they need somebody to come in and buy the club.
“They need someone with massive money to take the club where it needs to go.
“Because the support and the fan base is incredible.”
