Tottenham will NOT win Premier League title this season says Troy Deeney, who claims ‘you can’t rely on Gareth Bale’ if Son and Kane are injured
Tottenham will NOT win the Premier League title this season, as they do not have enough cover for star attackers Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
This is according to Watford forward and talkSPORT Breakfast host Troy Deeney, who insists claiming a first ever Premier League trophy this term is out of Spurs' grasp.
The Lilywhites have started the 2020/21 campaign strongly, and Sunday's defeat of Brighton moved them up to second - just two points behind early leaders Liverpool after seven games.

Their impressive early season form has been largely down to the fine attacking feats of strike partners Kane and Son, with the former netting six goals and assisting EIGHT already this term, and Son leading the scoring charts with eight goals in just seven matches.
But no other player has scored more than once for Spurs so far this Premier League season, with Gareth Bale joining Lucas Moura, Serge Aurier and Tanguy Ndombele with one goal when he netted the winner against Brighton on Sunday.
Big things are expected of Bale but he is clearly still working his way back to full fitness following his lack of football at Real Madrid over the past year.
And Deeney actually doubts whether Bale will be able to complete a whole season, which will cause Spurs serious issues should Kane or Son be sidelined through injury.

Asked by Laura Woods if Tottenham can win the Premier League on Monday's talkSPORT Breakfast, Deeney replied: “Can they? Yes, they can. But, will they? I'd probably stick to no.
“I think over the course of a season – and the mid-week showed it – if they were to get injuries to Kane or Son, have they got somebody who can step up and score the goals and keep them going?
“Bale has had his injuries so you can't rely on him. I don't mean that negatively, but can you sit there and say, 'he is going to be fit all year round'?
“I think ultimately they will always concede goals, so I think they might just fall short [of winning the title].
“But I would say top four.”
