Chris Sutton lauds Celtic hat-trick hero Mohamed Elyounoussi days after slamming his ‘scandalous’ and ‘unacceptable’ ‘phonegate’ behaviour

Celtic ace Mohamed Elyounoussi was slammed earlier this week after being pictured on his mobile phone as the Hoops were thrashed by Sparta Prague.
'Phonegate' saw Elyounoussi blasted by Chris Sutton, with the ex-Celtic forward calling such behaviour 'scandalous' and 'unacceptable'.
Sutton said: "What I question is the player's commitment. There's a player this evening sitting in the stands on his phone.
"That is totally unacceptable. That's scandalous. Is he committed to the cause? Is he committed to the club? Totally unacceptable.
"I'd fine him two weeks' wages for that.
"I've sat in the dressing room for four or five years with Neil Lennon, I know what his attitude is, I know what he'd feel about that. You're in it together, people talk about team ethic, is that a team ethic?
"That's a selfish, self-centred, egotistical individual who doesn't care about the rest of his team-mates. Totally unacceptable."
Neil Lennon said he would 'deal with' Elyounoussi after being made aware of the attacker's indiscretion, but the manager had more pressing things to deal with as Celtic visited Motherwell on Sunday knowing another defeat could leave the Hoops 12 points behind Rangers in the Premiership table.
Elyounoussi was actually selected to start the match, and he repaid Lennon's faith in him by scoring a hat-trick in a fantastic 4-1 win for Celtic.
The opener was a rebound after Albian Ajeti's effort hit the post, while Elyounoussi's second came after some fine work from Tom Rogic.
He completed his treble with a quarter of an hour to go, with Olivier Ntcham adding a fourth in the final five minutes.
And Sutton, days after slamming Elyounoussi, heaped praise on the forward for his hat-trick showing.
"Elyounoussi answers the call brilliant hat trick," the Parkhead hero wrote on social media.
