Paul Pogba defends Mino Raiola over ‘fake news’ suggesting he will be sacked as midfielder insists he is ‘1000 per cent involved’ at Manchester United

Paul Pogba has insisted he is '1000 per cent involved' at Manchester United amid speculation he is pining for a move away from Old Trafford.

The Frenchman has once again dominated the headlines over the last week after his agent, Mino Raiola, spoke in an interview on the eve of the crunch Champions League clash at RB Leipzig about his client's unhappiness.

Raiola claimed the midfielder would not sign a new deal beyond 2022 - which saw United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer respond after the costly 3-2 loss in Germany that he hoped the agent realised football is about teams rather than individuals.

Pogba came off the bench at Leipzig on Tuesday night, and returned to the starting XI for Saturday's goalless Premier League clash with rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Later on Saturday evening, Pogba posted a message on Instagram suggesting he had no intentions of going anywhere soon.

"I've always fought and will always fight for @ManchesterUnited, my team-mates and the fans," Pogba said.

"Bla bla is not important. The future is far, today is what matters and I am 1000 per cent involved!

"Always strong together... all has been clear between the club and myself and that will never change.

"When you don't know what's going on inside, don't talk.

Pogba also defended Raiola over a report that claimed the Manchester United midfielder was considering severing ties with his agent.

Bild claimed Raiola was under pressure from Pogba to arrange a transfer next year otherwise the Frenchman was considering seeking representation elsewhere.

Raiola rubbished the report, however, and congratulated them on becoming the 'champions of fake news'.

The post read: "Like always, the Bild doesn't disappoint! Amazing how fake news spread around."

Pogba was tagged in Raiola's posts and commented on Instagram: "When you don't know you don't talk @bild."

It is understood United value Pogba at around £45million should they allow the World Cup winner to leave in January or next summer.

Reports suggest the 27-year-old favours a return to Juventus, where he spent four years between 2012 and 2016.
