talkSPORT Selector: Simon Jordan holds hands up on Leicester vs Leeds prediction, while Jim White was wrong on Newcastle
Our new talkSPORT Selector game kicked off last weekend, giving you the chance to win more than £40,000.
Presenters Andy Goldstein, Jason Cundy, Jim White and Simon Jordan were among those to play along.
The rules of the game are simple:
- Pick a team to win each week
- Lose or draw and you’re eliminated
- You can only select one team once
Sounds easy right? Well, it's harder than it seems as three of our presenters demonstrated last weekend.
White and Cundy plumped for Everton to win against Newcastle at Goodison Park, while Jordan backed Leicester to beat Leeds at the King Power.
We all know what happened there...
Newcastle hadn't won in 11 Premier League games but, perhaps spurred on by White and Cundy's predictions, they pulled off a shock 2-0 triumph at Everton.
High-flying Leicester, meanwhile, fell to a surprise 3-1 defeat at home to newly-promoted Leeds.
Jordan reflected to White on talkSPORT: "Did well didn’t we? I took a more difficult game with more ambiguity, but you took what you thought was a shoo-in.
"You were the one jumping up and down on Steve Bruce's grave thinking he’s out."
However, one presenter was spot-on with his selection, as Sport Bar host Goldstein selected Manchester City to beat Sheffield United.
City ran out 1-0 victors to make it 12th successive wins.
