David Moyes DEFENDED for substituting Mipo Odubeko after West Ham manager branded ‘disgusting’ for withdrawing teen 58 minutes after his introduction

Charlie Austin has defended David Moyes' decision to substitute West Ham starlet Mipo Odubeko after he came OFF the bench during the Hammers' FA Cup tie at Manchester United.
Odubeko made his second senior West Ham appearance at Old Trafford as he was brought on in the 54th minute, before being hooked off in the 22nd minute of extra-time.
And after the tie, which Man United won 1-0, talkSPORT's Andy Goldstein was furious with the Hammers manager over treatment of the 18-year-old striker.
"I think that's disgusting. I think that's absolutely terrible," Goldstein said on Tuesday night's Sports Bar.
"I would imagine that David Moyes is big enough and ugly enough to know if a player is good enough to go onto the field and play.
"I don't for one moment believe that after 58 minutes David Moyes would think 'ooh, I didn't know he wasn't that good.'
"David Moyes has said that he's a good young talent and is looking forward to giving him his chance. The only recognised striker they had in that squad...
"I think that's absolutely disgusting. You want to leave the striker on, take Mark Noble off. Take someone else off.
"I thought that was absolutely disgusting by David Moyes. You could ruin the kid, break him. 58 minutes."
But Austin has leapt to Moyes' defence, insisting decisions such as his are just part of the game.
Austin also said Moyes wouldn't have substituted Odubeko if he didn't believe in him and expects the likes of Mark Noble to help the Irish forward come back.
"It's part of football but West Ham's squad is massive with lots of experience, and I don't think Mark Noble will allow it to affect him too much," Austin told talkSPORT Breakfast.
"David Moyes must think a lot of him to take him off... you've got to be a strong character to be able to take this and this'll probably help him going forward in his career."
