Manchester United eye shock £50million-plus transfer for Wolves star Pedro Neto as Jadon Sancho alternative and hope given to Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw new contracts

Manchester United have turned their attention to Pedro Neto and are reportedly considering a £50million-plus move for the Wolves star.
It's been a tough season for Wolves but Neto, who has five goals and five assists in the Premier League this term, has stood out for them.
reports these performances haven't gone unnoticed and United are lining up a big-money move for the 21-year-old as a potential alternative for long-term target Jadon Sancho.
The report adds that the club could have signed Neto in 2016 as he came to Carrington on a trial from Portuguese side Braga.
Sancho is still appealing to the 13-time Premier League winners, however, it's unlikely Borussia Dortmund will budge on their high valuation of him, unless they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
The Sun also says United are also thought to be looking at Leeds winger Raphinha and Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Goncalves, 22.
As well as looking to sign new players, it's understood United are preparing to get some of their current players tied down to new deals.
The says the club are preparing contract talks with Luke Shaw, who has been one of their standout players this season.
The left-back has got over his injury problems that had dogged him over the years and earned a recall to the England team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Shaw still has two years left on his current Old Trafford deal, which is understood to earn him a £150,000-a-week pay packet.
But manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer sees him as part of his plans so wants to offer him fresh terms that will align him more closely with their big earners.
