Neymar is simply not in the same class as Lionel Messi and other 'world class' players.

That's the verdict of talkSPORT host Jason Cundy, who reiterated his strong views on the £200million player following Paris Saint-Germain's defeat to Man City and subsequent Champions League exit on Tuesday night.

Riyad Mahrez struck either side of the break at the Etihad to secure a 2-0 win over the French side [4-1 on aggregate] as City made history by advancing to their first-ever Champions League/European Cup final.

And speaking on the Sports Bar, Cundy once more hit out at the Brazil superstar, who flattered to deceive for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

"He's a YouTube player, Neymar. I don't see the same player [as other people]," he said.

"Good player, very good player, but not world class. He has games where you think 'what a player, what a talent'.

"There's no doubting he's a talent, but you need more than that to make it at the very top.

"You look at Messi... he [Neymar] was going through three on three last night and he goes on his own. Messi passes. It's about making the right decisions.

"It isn't all about him. He's selfish, he's an individual, overrated and petulant. All of that just sums up PSG."

But on Wednesday's talkSPORT Breakfast, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor leapt to Neymar's defence.

He explained: "I actually felt sorry for Neymar last night. He's getting the ball and he's got Fernandinho and Dias there, he's got Kyle Walker in on tight on him because he's quicker than them.

"I think it was just an outstanding performance from all of the back four and the keeper [Ederson], so I actually felt sorry for Neymar."
