Brighton denied Premier League survival by Wolves as Lewis Dunk breaks Virgil van Dijk record before red card and Neal Maupay is sent off after final whistle
Brighton were beaten 2-1 by Wolves at Molineux having seen captain Lewis Dunk sent off in the second half.
The Seagulls had looked set for victory, which would have sealed their spot in the Premier League for next season but fell apart and Neal Maupay was also shown red for 'foul and abusive language' after the final whistle.

Dunk had opened the scoring for his side with his 11th goal since August 2017 - putting him clear of Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk who held the previous record.
But their opponents were allowed back into the match after he pulled back striker Fabio Silva who was bearing down on goal.
Graham Potter's side were good value for their lead as they impressed with their ball-playing and chance creation.
But Dunk's foolish red card came back to haunt them as a wonderful Adama Traore goal got Wolves back on level terms before Morgan Gibbs-White made up for a shocking miss by netting the winner.

Wolves started the better of the two sides with Vitinha spurning an early chance, but they were unable to create any more before their visitors struck.
After Danny Welbeck forced a corner, a superb set-piece from Pascal Gross found the head of Dunk, who thumped home.
And it could have got worse for Wolves too when Dan Burn was grappled to the floor by Gibbs-White, but referee Jon Moss and VAR weren't having any of it.
Brighton were playing with confidence and it's no wonder ex-Premier League star Darren Ambrose has tipped manager Potter to replace Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.

He told talkSPORT this weekend: "Graham Potter, the football he plays with Brighton, he would do very, very well at Spurs."
But the Seagulls couldn't convert their chances with Dunk and Maupay missing chances.
They would be made to pay for their profligacy but only after Dunk was sent off.
Some neat play set Silva through on goal with the England international opting to tug back the Portuguese starlet.
When Silva hit the deck, referee Moss had no option but to give him his marching orders.

Wolves began to battle back with Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez forced into saves from substitute Traore and Joao Moutinho.
But the former would eventually find the leveller - and it was a beautifully worked goal too.
A delightful dribble first, followed by a fine one-two with Silva got the Spaniard into the penalty area and he fired home excellently past Sanchez.
Gibbs-White should have won it for Wolves but he blazed over after more great work from Traore.
But with just moments remaining he kept his cool to strike and hand his side victory.
Brighton must wait to confirm they will be in the Premier League next term.
Meanwhile, Maupay was also sent off after the final whistle for foul and abusive language as he appeared furious with the referee.
