Charlie Austin handed ‘new QPR contract’ on Breakfast show as talkSPORT producer and Rangers fan tries to get him to sign for Championship side permanently

If you asked the vast majority of QPR fans who is the one player they'd most like to sign this summer, the general consensus would respond: Charlie Austin.
The prolific frontman is a fans' favourite in W12 - and rightly so - having scored 56 goals in 111 games across two spells.
Mark Warburton's side were struggling towards the wrong end of the Championship table before Austin's arrival on loan from West Brom in January.
Fast forward four months and the west London side have gone from 20th at the end of last year to finishing ninth - their highest league finish since winning promotion to the Premier League in 2014.
Austin's current deal at the Hawthorns expires at the end of the season - although the recently relegated Baggies have an option to extend that deal by a further year.
And talkSPORT's very own George Sexton-Kerr, a huge Rs fan who works on the Breakfast show, took it upon himself to get a permanent deal in full swing with Austin in the studio on Wednesday morning.
Producer George/Georgie Boy/Sinbad presented Austin with his 'new deal' tweeting: "My job is done ladies and gentlemen".

While Austin didn't sign on the dotted line during his latest Breakfast appearance, it's understood that the Rs favourite is keen on a permanent return to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
A QPR source told talkSPORT in response to the story: "On that contract all day long!"
We suspect the prospect of this deal coming to fruition will be brewing for some time yet...
