Harry Kane wants trophies and even Etienne Capoue and Juan Foyth have won something since leaving Tottenham – just like Kieran Trippier, Christian Eriksen and Kyle Walker have done

Harry Kane wants to leave Tottenham to win the team trophies he so dearly craves.
One of the world's greatest strikers since he burst onto the scene in the 2014/15 season, the Spurs ace has scored goals for fun.
The 27-year-old has 221 goals in total for Tottenham, while he's now just 95 goals behind Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260.
But what's the point of all those nets being busted when he's yet to win a single piece of silverware with Spurs?
This is the reason he wants out of north London, with Manchester United, Man City, and Chelsea, all expressing an interest in the centre-forward.
And some of his former teammates are likely to have influenced his decision, too.
While Kane finished the season in seventh, Kieran Trippier was celebrating LaLiga success with Atletico Madrid, making him the third former Tottenham player to win a top-five European league this year.
The Wanda Metropolitano stadium where he lost the Champions League final with Spurs alongside Kane is now the place which has hosted his greatest triumph.
Then on Wednesday night, a couple more of Kane's former teammates were given major honours in the Europa League.
Capoue left Spurs for Watford in 2015 and has only been at Villarreal since January.
And while Kane will play in the Europa League Conference, his former teammate will be in the Champions League next season thanks to the win against Man United in the Europa League final.
Foyth, meanwhile, is only on loan at Villarreal, having been sent there by Tottenham in 2020. He started the final alongside Capoue and will be almost certainly want to be part of the Champions League side next season.
City is the obvious option for Kane right now, they have the resources and they have the motive with Sergio Aguero leaving.
And former teammate Walker is a man who can teach Kane the most about winning trophies.
He was brave enough to push for his Man City transfer in 2017 and the £50million deal has seen the right-back win three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four League Cups, while Champions League glory could be his at the end of May.
While Walker didn't have the affinity with Tottenham Kane does, he showed that silverware will arrive when the right decisions are made.
This one didn't look likely for a while as the Danish attacking midfielder struggled to fit in under Antonio Conte.
Indeed, for some time it appeared Eriksen could even rejoin Spurs, so bad was his stint going, even if Inter were performing well.
But in a deeper role, he finally found his feet and he has been a key member of a team which sealed a Scudetto win this term, ending Juventus' nine-year dominance in Italy.
Since Spurs last won a trophy back in 2008, several of their former stars have gone on to win honours, too.
Not all were in the top five leagues, but knowing Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has now lifted a title in Turkey before Kane has even handled a League Cup is saddening.
It's surely now a matter of when, not if, Kane leaves Tottenham to seek the trophies he craves.
