Tottenham in ‘secret’ contact with five different managers, including Ernesto Valverde and Erik Ten Hag, and ‘will make decision this week’

Fabrizio Romano has provided talkSPORT with an update on Tottenham's new manager search, saying the club are talking to FIVE different names for the post.
The journalist, who regular breaks exclusive news, added that he expects Spurs to make a decision on who will get the job 'this week'.
Spurs have been on the lookout for a new boss since Jose Mourinho's shock departure in April.
The search, which has had a few embarrassing moments, has gone on for almost two months but Romano believes it is nearly over.
He said that Spurs' top brass have spoken to 'many managers', which include Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick, who's been in charge of the likes of RB Leipzig and Schalke in the past.
Romano adds that Ernesto Valverde, who's been out of work since leaving Barcelona in January 2020, is also on the shortlist and in contact with Spurs.
"They are in contact with many managers and are trying to keep it a secret," Romano told talkSPORT host Jim White.
"They have talked to five different managers in the last week. For example, I'm sure they contacted Ernesto Valverde on Friday.
"They were also talking with Ralf Rangnick, Ten Hag has always been there but it's not easy, I'm told that Ajax are convinced that he's staying.
"They have many managers on the list and I think they will make a decision this week."
