Liverpool and Chelsea target Patson Daka confirms ‘I’m signing for Leicester’ with transfer fee from Red Bull Salzburg set to break Sadio Mane and Naby Keita records

Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka has confirmed he will join Leicester City this summer, having rejected reported interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Premier League trio were linked with the 22-year-old, who ended last season as the Austrian Bundesliga’s top scorer.
Daka netted 27 times in the league last term, managing 34 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, as he helped Salzburg win their eighth league title in a row.
But it now appears he will be taking his career to the next level in the Premier League this summer, having claimed he will join Leicester.
The FA Cup winners have seemingly won a race against Liverpool and Chelsea to sign the striker on a five-year contract, in a deal worth over ‘over €30million’ - around £25.7m - according to Austrian outlet .
Speaking to Krone, Daka confirmed: "I will go to England and move to Leicester City.
"I had a great time here, Salzburg has become my second home.
“I will always be happy to come back here, but the Premier League has always been my big dream.”
His transfer will be a significant one for the Austrian Bundesliga, as it will break the transfer record of players purchased from the top flight.
That record is currently held by Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, whose transfer to sister club RB Leipzig and resale value for his subsequent move to Liverpool totalling €29m [£24.9m] to Salzburg.
Reds star Sadio Mane is next on the list, with his move to Southampton and resale value for his move to Anfield seeing £23m [£19.7m] head to the Austrian club.
Zambia international Daka will join Leicester as long-term replacement for club legend Jamie Vardy, who is approaching the twilight years of his career - not that you’d notice from his continued goal output.
Vardy has two years remaining on his Foxes contract and will turn 35 during the 2021/22 season, and yet ended last term with 17 goals and nine assists, all despite having groin surgery midway through the campaign.
His incoming new teammate, Daka, has spent four years at Salzburg, where he has scored an impressive 68 goals in 125 games.
