If there's been one good thing about empty stadiums, it's the penalty shootout between Argentina and Colombia in last night's Copa America semi-final.

Emiliano Martinez was the hero, saving three Colombian penalties to send Argentina through to the final - but it was his words during the shootout which grabbed everyone's attention.

With nobody in attendance at the Estadio Nacional in Brazil, cameras picked up everything the Aston Villa goalkeeper said to Yerry Mina before the defender's crucial miss - and it was brutal.

Martinez reminded the Everton star of his nerves, insisted he knew where the penalty was going, and shouted 'I'm eating you up' right at the last second before guessing correctly and saving the spot-kick.

"You're nervous, huh? You're laughing but you're nervous," he started as Mina put the ball on the spot.

"Yeah, yeah. You're nervous. You're nervous.

"Hey! The ball is ahead (of the penalty spot).

"Yeah, yeah. Turn a blind eye. I already know you.

"Hey, look. See how I know where you'll shoot. And then I'll save it.

"I'm eating you up, brother. I'm eating you up, brother."

After a hip-thrusting celebration from the Villa man, it was Lionel Messi's turn to twist the knife.

Mina had successfully converted a penalty in the quarter-final victory over Uruguay, prompting an unusual dancing celebration mid-shootout.

And when his effort was saved by Martinez, Messi shouted from the halfway line: "Dance now! Dance now!"

The sh*thousery didn't stop there, with Martinez psyching out the other takers before one Argentina player could be heard saying 'See you soon, fatty' to Edwin Cardona after the Colombian's decisive penalty was saved by Martinez.

Celebrations spilled over into the dressing room, where Martinez was filmed twerking. A true masterclass from start to finish from the Argentina goalkeeper.
