England are well represented in the Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament, with Raheem Sterling, Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker all in there.

However, there will be some surprise Luke Shaw was not named, with an injured Italy player in his place at left-back, while Golden Boot winner Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and other superstars also missed out.

UEFA announced the team of the tournament on Tuesday, two days after seeing Italy lift their second European Championship trophy following their penalty shootout win over England.

And it's right that the Italians and Englishmen dominate, with three Three Lions and five Azzurri stars in the best XI.

The line-up was selected by UEFA’s technical observer team, which was made up of 16 former players and both former and current coaches.

Jose Mourinho will be pleased as Kyle Walker makes it in at right-back after a really impressive summer from the Manchester City man. The Special One named the England defender as his player of the tournament on talkSPORT.

Shaw was widely tipped for the best XI team too, but the Manchester United defender has missed the cut with Leonardo Spinazzola picked at left-back, despite the Roma man missing Italy's final two games with injury.

Shaw scored the fastest goal in a European Championship final and was dubbed 'Shawberto Carlos' for his performances, but doesn't make it in at left-back

A 'leaked' line-up on Monday had both Ronaldo and Pogba in the line-up, with CR7 ending the Euros as top scorer with five goals, while Pogba again impressed in a France shirt - but that was proven to be a fake and neither stars make it in the final team.

But Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku does, the Inter Milan star leading the line up front despite both Ronaldo and Czech Republic frontman Patrik Schick netting more goals [five].

Lukaku ended Euro 2020 with four goals, the same tally as Harry Kane, Emil Forsberg of Sweden, and France's Karim Benzema.

The only other non-English and Italian players are Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who played a major role in Denmark's celebrated and memorable run to the semi-finals after Christian Eriksen's shocking collapse, and Spain teenager Pedri - who was named the young player of the tournament.

THE TEAM

(4-3-3): Donnarumma; Walker, Bonucci, Maguire, Spinazzola; Jorginho, Højbjerg, Pedri; Chiesa, Lukaku, Sterling.
