Sevilla star honoured by Man United and Chelsea links

The agent of Ivan Rakitic admits the Sevilla star is "honoured" to be linked with Manchester United and Chelsea - but says the Premier League duo will face stiff competition to secure his signature.

talkSPORT revealed to you last month that both David Moyes and Jose Mourinho are chasing the midfielder, who has netted seven times in 14 La Liga outings this term.

Rated at £15m, Croatia international Rakitic has shone since arriving at Sevilla from Bundesliga side Schalke in January 2011.

His brother and agent Dejan is aware of interest from United and Chelsea but says Lazio are also in the running too.

He told TMW: It's too early to say something concrete. My brother still has a year and a half left on his contract. Chelsea, Manchester United and Lazio are interested in him? It's nice that clubs at this level are thinking [about him]. We are honoured."
