QPR striker Charlie Austin says Aaron Wan-Bissaka ‘can’t defend’ and backs Manchester United move for Kieran Trippier

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 'can't defend' and Manchester United need to go ‘all out’ to sign Kieran Trippier this summer.
That is according to Charlie Austin, who played against the 23-year-old in QPR’s 4-2 pre-season victory over United last weekend.
Two of QPR’s goals came down the right-back’s side as Austin brought the Championship club level before the hosts scored three more.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid star Trippier to provide competition for Wan-Bissaka, who cost £50million from Crystal Palace in 2019.
They have already spent over £115m in deals for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
And Austin has backed United's pursuit of England international Trippier because Wan-Bissaka is 'not of the required quality'.
The QPR striker told talkSPORT: “Although Manchester United have signed [Raphael] Varane, their biggest problem is they need a right-back.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not up to the [required] quality. We played them the other day, and I know it was only a pre-season friendly, but they need to go all out for Kieran Trippier.
“That’s who they’re crying out for. He [Aaron Wan-Bissaka] can’t defend!
"His final ball is not what a centre-forward wants, it’s not what [Edinson] Cavani wants, it’s not what [Marcus] Rashford wants. They need to go and sign Kieran Trippier.”
Asked by former Arsenal defender Ray Parlour if it was just one bad game for Wan-Bissaka against QPR, Austin replied: “You can always have a bad game, it was just a pre-season friendly.
“With all due respect, if Aaron Wan-Bissaka is your right-back, are Man United going to go on and win Premier Leagues and win silverware? I’m not too sure.
“They need to strengthen there, definitely."
