Manchester City have unveiled their innovative new water inspired away kit ahead of the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

City have already released their Sergio Aguero inspired home kit, which they donned during their pre-season friendly against Preston earlier this month.

The predominately white shirt features a colourful theme on the logos of City, Puma and shirt sponsors Etihad.

The shirt is produced through a special Dope Dye manufacturing process to reduce water consumption, while the club's global charity, Cityzens Giving, is also given a notable tribute.

The most striking features of the shirt include the water droplets throughout the design.

Aymeric Laporte highlighted the inclusion on social media, tweeting: 'Drip drip'.

One in three people worldwide don't have access to drinking water, with City outlining their plans to help those in need.

The club's foundation aim to reach over 10,000 young people in three continents worldwide through their new initiative, which has kick-started with the creation of a clean water tower in Mumbai.

Tom Pitchon, Director of City Football Foundation said: “We are proud to be able to use the Club’s away kit to raise awareness of water issues around the world, creating a platform to provide much needed support for communities in need.

“Empowering our global network of Young Leaders to use football as a platform to tackle social issues in their communities is at the heart of what Cityzens Giving does and the work we are embarking on with our partners PUMA and Xylem will help to enhance the lives of thousands of people around the world.

“Our playing kit is an expression of what our Club stands for and we are delighted that this season’s kit will be used to highlight the vital issue of clean water access.”

While the away kit was loved, a leaked picture of the third kit is doing the rounds online - and it's safe to say it's divided opinion.
