Paul Pogba showed everyone his class with four outstanding assists in an emphatic 5-1 win against Leeds United in Manchester United's opening match.

The French World Cup winner created goals for Fred, Mason Greenwood and two for Bruno Fernandes, who bagged a hat-trick.

Pogba brushed off ongoing transfer rumours with a sensational display.

With 12 months left on his contract and talks over a new deal currently stalling, this campaign could well be his last for the Red Devils.

If so, then he is beginning his final season at Old Trafford in perfect fashion.

Pogba has often been criticised for performances in the past but that certainly wont be the case today as Andy Townsend was lauding him on talkSPORT.

"I have always been a fan of this guy," the pundit said.

"You’ve got to live with the fact he will lose the ball in his own half every now and again, he will get caught on it, he will do things that raise eyebrows.

"But what he can do is split the defence open with a perfectly-weighted pass, right into someone’s feet.

"Pogba can do things at the top of the field that most can only dream about. I don’t see Man United wining things if he’s sat on the bench watching.”
