Having lost his fourth final with Argentina, Lionel Messi has retired from international football.

Argentina lost to Chile in the Copa America final following on from defeat in the same competition in 2015 and 2007 as well as the 2014 World Cup final loss to Germany.

En route to his latest heartache, though, the Barcelona ace became his country's top scorer with 55 goals, overtaking Gabriel Batistuta's long-standing record of 54.

Here, talkSPORT has found a video featuring every one of his international goals going back 10 years to his first in 2006.

Messi reached 55 goals in 112 games, while Batistuta - a traditional striker - scored his haul in 78 games between 1991 and 2002.
