Five best kits of the season: ‘Iconic’ Man United strip, Liverpool go smart and the Tottenham collector’s item

It's painful for him to admit, but Darren Bent is a big fan of Tottenham... well, their new away kit.
He may have played for Spurs, but the former striker grew up and is still a big Arsenal fan.
However, he thinks the new Tottenham look is out of this world - certainly it looks like it's from another galaxy.
For Bent, though, not much can beat Inter and Man United's kits as he explains to talkSPORT.
5. Barcelona (home)
"I know it’s took a lot of stick on the internet in terms of people not liking it, but I like the detail that’s in it. I like that they’ve kind of mixed it up; you’ve got stripes on one side of the kit, then you’ve got like a cross symbol where the sponsorship logo sits. I’m a big fan of it. Love the collar as well, the round neck. It’s very iconic for Barcelona so I don’t agree with the thousands of people out there that don’t like it, I really do."
4. Liverpool (away)
"This could’ve been a little bit higher, I really like it. They pay homage to the 96/97 season, it’s a bit of an off-white colour, a green collar, and what I really like about it is how smart it looks. I’m not really one for wearing football kits out and about, but if you were planning on going to a restaurant or going out, I think it’s smart enough to put on with a pair of jeans. So that Liverpool kit has got to be in there."
3. Tottenham (away)
"It pains me to say it even though I played for 'em… but Spurs’ away kit. What I like about it is it’s striking, I love the use of colours, I mean a bit of yellow in there, little bit of blue, a little bit of pink; they’ve kind of utilized all the colours. It’s one that I think in a few years time will become a collectors’ item because we don’t usually see Spurs think outside the box, but with this kit they certainly have. I won’t be buying it, but listen I really really do like it and it has to be in there at number 3.
2. Inter Milan (home)
"I love this kit. It’s got this kind of snakeskin effect. Unfortunately we’re no longer seeing Pirelli, that’s been their sponsor since I was a kid. You think about some of the iconic players that wore that kit, but that’s no longer there. I like that it has the Italian badge in the middle, and I think it’s just a really nice, striking kit. The dark blue, the light blue, the contrast; I love the collar again. It’s a really really beautiful kit and that had to be in my top 5, but at number 2."
1. Man United (home)
“My number 1 is probably going to surprise a few people because they’d be expecting an Arsenal kit in there, but listen Manchester United’s home kit, for me, is the best out there at the minute. It’s iconic. I love the way it looks, I love the way the cuffs have got the little white stripe around it, and that matches the collar. It takes you back to some of the greatest players you’ve ever seen in a Man United shirt. It’s got that kind of retro feel to it, and if you look a little bit closer there’s a bit of detail in there where you can see a couple of stripes down it. So for me the Manchester United home kit, they’ve got it spot-on and that’s my number 1."
