Borussia Dortmund want to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan before the transfer deadline passes.

The Blues winger finds himself on the fringes of the first-team in west London and the German giants intend on capitalising.

The 20-year-old wants more opportunities having found himself sidelined due to manager Thomas Tuchel's tactics.

He is open to a move to Dortmund given the attacking talent ahead of him at Chelsea, and is waiting for the club to make their interest concrete.

Tuchel does want to keep Hudson-Odoi but he is yet to feature in the Premier League and while he did start in the UEFA Super Cup, he was played at right wing-back.

Hudson-Odoi is also keen on staying at Chelsea in the long-term but both parties believe he could do with regular football, nudging the door ajar for a deal.

He signed a five-year deal with the west Londoners back in 2019 worth £120,000 a week having impressed on his ascent to the first-team.

Borussia Dortmund sold winger Jadon Sancho to Manchester United for £73million and have landed forward Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven.

But Hudson-Odoi may be the perfect replacement for England star Sancho at the Westfalenstadion.
