Real Madrid plot triple transfer for Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba mere months after president Florentino Perez pleaded poverty over Super League breakaway

Real Madrid are planning to stun the world of football with a triple deal for Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba next summer, according to reports in Spain.
Madrid attempted to bring in PSG superstar Mbappe this summer after the World Cup winner made it clear he wanted the move, submitting a €220million bid.
Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG surprisingly turned down the offer, despite Mbappe entering the final year of his contract, making him available for free next summer.
have since reported that Mbappe is a near-certainty to commit his future to Madrid when negotiations for next season begin in January, but the incomings won’t stop there.
Marca believe Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland could also move to the Bernabeu in a ‘two-for-one deal’ due to Mbappe being available for free - although there's little doubt the wages of both stars will not come cheap.
Multiple reports in Spain and Norway have claimed Madrid is Haaland’s preferred destination when he eventually leaves Borussia Dortmund - set to be next summer when his cut-price transfer clause activates - with Madrid boasting a strong relationship with both Dortmund and Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola.
And Mbappe isn’t the only French superstar whose future will soon be in his own hands, with Paul Pogba’s contract also up at Manchester United next year.
Madrid also believe they could finally achieve their long-held ambition of signing the World Cup winning midfielder, adding to their purchase of his fellow France international Eduardo Camavinga.
Highly-rated 18-year-old Camavinga joined Real on deadline day in a €31m deal from Rennes, in what had been a tumultuous transfer window for the Spanish giants.
Club captain and legendary defender Sergio Ramos made a shock departure for free to PSG, whilst his long-term centre-back partner, Raphael Varane, soon made matters worse by joining Manchester United for £34m.
Madrid attempted to repair the damage by bringing in former Bayern Munich defender and Austria captain David Alaba, and they may yet have the last laugh.
Deals for Haaland, Mbappe and Pogba would undoubtedly take the faltering giants back to the top of the game, and the club are far from new to blockbuster high-spending windows. In fact, they trademarked them, when the term ‘Galacticos’ was coined.
But adding to the likely signing of Mbappe would still come as a shock, particularly in a year where Madrid president Florentino Perez was humiliated by the failure of his European Super League project.
Perez, who was chairman of the short-lived ESL, claimed the breakaway competition was crucial for his team’s survival saying: “We need to do something. We are in a freefall ... our clubs will be dead by 2024."
Now, though, they could soon see themselves lining up with the two heirs to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s thrones at the top of the game in Mbappe and Haaland.
Fancy that.
