Anderlecht weighing up January move for Fulham star

Anderlecht are considering a January loan move for Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz.

The Costa Rican has had a difficult time this season - he's scored just one Premier League goal and has been subjected to boos from sections of the Craven Cottage faithful.

Ruiz has started just seven of Fulham's 15 top flight matches and Anderlecht believe they can tempt him to Belgium with the prospect of regular first-team football ahead of next summer's World Cup.

Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad claim Anderlecht boss Herman Van Holsbeeck has installed the 28-year-old as his No.1 target ahead of the January transfer window and will look to bring him to the club on a six-month loan deal.

Ruiz, who is in his third season at Fulham, is about to enter the final 18 months of his contract at Craven Cottage.
