Thomas Tuchel rules out Mason Mount with ‘surprise’ injury ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Manchester City

Chelsea will be going into their huge match against Manchester City without one of their key players, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.
Mason Mount will have to watch the match from the sideline after his manager admitted he was 'surprised' to see him become unavailable.
It's the contenders versus the champions at Stamford Bridge and there is a lot riding on the game.
Chelsea could move six points clear of their title rivals but on the flip side, City could end the day level on points with the Blues and move above them on goal difference.
Unfortunately for Tuchel though, if he is to mastermind another win against Pep Guardiola, he will have to do it without Mount, one of his most important players.
"He is very disappointed and I didn't feel it during the match because it was the second half and he played through the injury," said the German.
“He finished the game, was confident to take an important penalty. So it was a surprise.
“The steps he is taking are huge, maybe it was possible if the game was one day later.
“So it's a minor injury but there is disappointment for him and us because he is a player that we count on.
"But no matter the importance, no matter how we rely on him, the task is to find solutions without him and bring him back as soon as possible."
Although Tuchel will not be able to call on Mount he will be able to call upon his experience having won the last three meetings against Gurdiola.
Although he denies any kind of psychological advantage, he will undoubtedly be hoping to make it four wins on the trot.
