Tottenham's performance at Arsenal was so bad, fans left before the first half was out.

It's the third week running Spurs have conceded three goals but this one would have hurt most having been outplayed for large parts in the 3-1 defeat at the Gunners.

One supporter called into Darren Bent's Boot Room to reveal he left before half time in disgust having been so appalled by what he was seeing.

"It was diabolical, I have never seen it this bad for years," said the caller. "We signed a right-back that cost us £26million and he's fast and on the bench.

"We got [Japhet] Tanganga there who is fast but is not a right-back. He's got a bit of pace [Emerson Royal], he can run with the ball, he can get the ball forward and take pressure off our defence.

"Our defence is appalling, we still have [Eric] Dier who was appalling last year."

The caller then proceeded to lament the performance of Harry Kane.

"Kane doesn't want to be there anymore," the caller added. "He just stands there and just looks, Son went past him and when he had that shot [Aaron] Ramsdale saved, Kane just stood there."

Things are not looking good for Spurs and Nuno Espirito Santo, however in football everything can change very quickly.

As Mikel Arteta can point to, a month ago his side hadn't scored a goal and were rock bottom of the league but are now above the Portuguese manager's side.

It's now a huge week for the Spurs manager who will aim to lift the mood around the club by beating NS Mura in the Europa Conference League and then in-form Aston Villa in the Premier League.
