Man City star Phil Foden is ‘the octopus’ and ‘will be one of the very best this country has ever produced’

Phil Foden has drawn huge praise from talkSPORT hosts Jason Cundy and Tony Cascarino following his scintillating Champions League performance for Manchester City.
The 21-year-old showcased his talents in the biggest occasions as City thrashed Club Brugge 5-1, clipping in a wonderful pass to Joao Cancelo for the opening goal.
Foden’s performances have blossomed ever since he broke into City's first team four seasons ago, and talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy believes he's becoming the finished article.
“The pass for the first goal, he’s such a lovely, silky player who’s got every tool in the book, certainly in the bag when you’re talking about delivering crosses, delivering passes,” said Cundy.
“He is well on his way to becoming world-class. He will be one of the very best this country has ever produced.”
Fellow talkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino hailed Foden’s ability to reach the top of his game.
“Foden is the Octopus, he’s got like eight legs and honestly, his legs are everywhere. I never seen anybody control the ball like him, move the ball,” said Cascarino.
“Everything is there for him to excel at City. He’s 21 now and I think he’s been a top player."
On when he knew Foden would be the real deal, Cascarino added: "The moment I felt ‘wow, this is some player' is when they beat Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
"He was unbelievable that day and remember thinking, ‘If he gets consistency in his game, there’s no way of stopping him.’ He’s got everything."
