Liverpool seal top spot in Champions League group with two matches to spare thanks to win over Atletico Madrid as Luis Suarez endures nightmare Anfield return

Luis Suarez had the Anfield return from hell as Liverpool beat his Atletico Madrid side 2-0 in the Champions League.
Everything that could've gone wrong for the Reds legend did as he was booed before the match, yellow carded during it, while also having a goal disallowed just moments before being substituted by Diego Simeone.
Suarez's yellow came for his protests against teammate Felipe being sent off following a challenge on Sadio Mane on the halfway line.
But take nothing away from Liverpool, who were good value for the win as first-half goals from Diogo Jota and Mane enough to see them through.
Their former player appeared to have brought Atleti back into it with a deflected strike but VAR came to Liverpool's rescue as Mario Hermoso, who was active in the attack, was shown to be offside in the build-up.
The result sees Liverpool reach the last-16 and they will qualify as Group B winners with two matches to spare as they're an unassailable seven points ahead of second-placed Porto.
Tempers frayed when the two sides met in the Spanish capital a fortnight ago and they showed no sign of letting up when the Liverpool faithful ignored Jordan Henderson's requests to give Suarez a good reception - booing him before the match started and throughout the time he was on the pitch.
The home side settled in much better as they took the lead on their first attack through the head of Jota.
A trademark Trent Alexander-Arnold cross from the right left the Atletico Madrid defenders static and an unmarked Jota nodded in from close range.
And it was two minutes on the Reds' second attack thanks to the left boot of Mane.
Mane started the move as he cut inside from the left, feeding the ball to Henderson, who then passed it out to Alexander-Arnold. The right-back's drive appeared to be a shot but Mane latched onto it and fired past Jan Oblak first time.
Atleti fought back from two goals down at the Wanda Metropolitano but any hope of a repeat of that appeared to diminish when Felipe was bizarrely sent off by referee Danny Makkelie after an innocuous challenge on Mane.
A number of players from the visitors were cautioned shortly after, including Suarez, much to the delight of the Liverpool fans.
Jurgen Klopp's side went out all guns blazing in the second half and thought they'd made it 3-0 when Jota slid in with his left foot, however, VAR ruled it out as the Portuguese was offside.
Atletico Madrid then had a goal disallowed, which was scored by Suarez. His speculative attempt deflected in off Joel Matip but Liverpool were bailed out by VAR with Suarez's teammate Mario Hermoso shown to be offside in the build-up.
Clearly resigned it wasn't going to be his side's night, Simeone substituted the striker as Liverpool saw out the match with ease.
