Antonio Conte recorded a hard-fought 3-2 victory during his first match as Tottenham head coach.

Spurs went 3-0 up in a dominant opening half-hour thanks to goals from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and an own goal but allowed Vitesse Arnhem back into the game with two late goals in the first half.

The Dutch side arguably deserved something from the game and dictated the second half after Cristian Romero was sent off for a second bookable offence on the hour-mark.

However Vitesse then saw their numerical advantage dwindle after seeing two player sent off within minutes of each other to help Spurs to a thrilling victory.
