Manchester United reach six-month agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become interim boss as approach for Mauricio Pochettino is put on hold

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become their interim manager.
The German will sign a six-month contract before moving onto a consultancy role for two years within Old Trafford.
The 's report adds the deal is subject to the approval of Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow, where he's working as their Head of Sport and Development.
talkSPORT understands Rangnick had been reluctant to leave his post in the Russian capital without any long-term offer from United.
The Premier League side will have to pay a small compensation fee to the Russian club but he's determined to handle his departure respectfully.
Mauricio Pochettino remains the Man United's top target to replace Ole Gunnar Solskajer on a permanent basis. A summer move for him appears to be the likely outcome.
Work permit issues mean Rangnick, 63, won't be in charge for the Red Devils' Premier League clash at Chelsea on Sunday with Michael Carrick still having temporary responsibility.
The Red Devils are currently eighth in the Premier League and 12 points behind the Blues, who are top of the table.
Man United secured their place in the last-16 of the Champions League under the guidance of Carrick but were knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle under Solskjaer.
Rangnick has been in management for four decades, having previously taken charge of the likes of Hannover, Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
He's also had huge success as a director of football, holding that role at RB Salzburg and Leipzig, who rose from the German fourth tier to the Bundesliga while he was there.
He was also considered by Chelsea to replace Frank Lampard in January, but rejected them - because he didn't want to be an interim boss.
